JOB TITLE: Quoting Engineer/ Estimator
LOCATION: Croton-on-Hudson, NY

COMPENSATION: $52K +

This position is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys evaluating manufacturing requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with production teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting new and existing customer projects through accurate quotations and technical analysis.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred, but NOT MANDATORY
  • Associate's Degree in a technical field will be considered.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with CAD software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare accurate quotations.
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Estimate labor, material, and production time for manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to verify production methods, standards, and costing.
  • Present completed quotations and estimates to Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Maintain manufacturing cost data and product pricing information.
  • Ensure quotations meet customer requirements while supporting efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate documentation and engineering records.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to occasionally visit the production floor to collaborate with manufacturing personnel. (General manufacturing work environment.)
