Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience leading maintenance personnel.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, shafts, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical schematics.
- Experience using hand and power tools, welding equipment, grinders, and precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and CMMS systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces when necessary.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and respiratory protection when required.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of maintenance mechanics.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Install, inspect, upgrade, and rebuild production equipment as needed.
- Analyze recurring equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and mechanical schematics to diagnose equipment problems.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Document maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Partner with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Train, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and provide on-call support when necessary.
