Overview

A prestigious public accounting firm in Bergen County is seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper with PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM EXPERIENCEThe ideal candidate will assist with TAX PREPARATION AND CORPORATE BOOKS OR THE FIRM'S BOOKS and manage day-to-day bookkeeping for clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle full-charge bookkeeping functions for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and assist with individual and small business tax returns.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with clients regarding financial data and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with firm staff to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong bookkeeping experience, including general ledger and reconciliations.
  • Public accounting firm experience required.
  • Experience with tax return preparation required.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
CLIENT WILL NOT CONSIDER SOMEONE WITHOUT TAX EXPERIENCE.

Compensation
  • $60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience MORE FOR HIGHLY CAPABLE PERSON
